HANABUSA AIDO
Vampire Kight
Hanabusa Aido (藍堂 英 Aidō Hanabusa ), nicknamed "Idol" by the Day Class girls, is known among the Night Class along with his cousin Akatsuki Kain to be "Lord Kaname's right hand". His fierce admiration for Kaname borders on jealousy and though extremely loyal, Aido has a tendency to overstep his boundaries, which results in Kaname punishing him if discovered (often by slapping him). A noble-class vampire who can conjure and control ice, Aido often appears cheerful and friendly one moment, but vindictive and cruel the next. A perceptive individual, he figures out Zero is a vampire, but he keeps this information to himself without any hidden agenda in mind. He is often irritated at Yuki and her naive ways and he resents the fact Yuki is given more attention from "Lord Kaname" than he is. He is temporarily troubled when he witnesses Kaname's killing of a fellow pureblood and runs away from the Moon Dormitory and imposes himself on Yuki and Zero. Agreeing with Yuki's assertion that he would remain loyal to Kaname even if betrayed by him, he returns to the vampire's side. Aido has difficulty adjusting himself to referring to Yuki in a formal manner following the revelation of her true nature when he is appointed as one of her protectors.
Prior to Yuki and Zero's attendance to the school, Aido was in charge of developing blood tablets for vampire-turned humans to slow their progression into being a level E vampire. Under the orders of Kaname, he used a student named Fuka Kisaragi (如月 風花 Kisaragi Fuuka ), who had been unknowingly bitten by a vampire, as a test subject. Despite the Night Class' warnings, Aido befriended Fuka, but killed her by her own request when she was rapidly transitioning into a level E vampire and had grown immune to the tablets.
During Rido's attack on Cross Academy, Aido protects the Day Class, as ordered by Yuki. Half a year after the incident, Aido becomes Yuki's tutor and personal guard. After witnessing Kaname kill his father, Aido tries to suppress any hatred towards the Kuran family and collaborates with Yuki to reestablish the Night Class. In spite of his seeming capriciousness, he is a dedicated and serious individual and Zero regards Aido as the most tolerable member of the Night Class.

YAMATO "MATT" ISHIDA
Digimon Adventure 2
Matt is regarded as "cool" by his peers and seen as a "born rebel" who "prefers to do things his own way." [1] However, he can be passionate and emotional as well. Behind his façade, Matt has an "introspective, sensitive side" that comes through around his younger brother is T.K. Takaishi, whom he is fiercely protective of.[2] He takes caution in the Digital World and often clashes with Tai Kamiya because of the latter's recklessness.[2] He also gets upset when T.K. unconsciously follows Tai's orders.[3] Matt owns a harmonica and frequently plays it when he is resting.
Matt lives with his father alone in Odaiba due to a divorce between his parents.[2] This leads to an awkward relationship between his mother and himself, as he feels that they treat each other more as strangers instead of family, as well as pressures him to prioritize T.K.'s safety.[4] In the English version, there was a dub error where Matt indicates that they are half-brothers when in fact they were full brothers.[5]
In the sequel, Digimon Adventure 02, Matt becomes more mature and easy-going. He forms a band with three other classmates called the Teen-age Wolves

KYOHEI TAKANO
The Wallflower
Voiced by: Showtaro Morikubo (Japanese), Josh Grelle (English) Live-Action: Kazuya Kamenashi
While he says that all he cares about is getting free (or the lowest amount required to be paid) rent, he has a soft spot for Sunako and empathizes with her more so than the others. He is the most popular of the boys, and always has trouble keeping down a part-time job because his fans will chase after him, or his boss (male or female) will sexually harass him. Kyohei is cocky, short-tempered, and the only one tough enough to fight on the same level as Sunako. His hair is modeled after Tackey of Tackey & Tsubasa. He also tends to succumb to food and money. Since Sunako is the only girl who is able to understand his true personality regardless of his good looks, he gradually develops an obvious attraction towards her, even going as far as kissing her for no apparent reason. In latest chapters he seems to be aware of his feelings to at least a small degree, looking at a loss when it seems Sunako loves a guy (she doesn't) and when witnessing said guy hug a girl rushes to find Sunako after buying chocolates 'for himself' (to console her- he doesn't eat a single one). He seems to have softened towards her more in chapter 91, telling her she's fine just the way she is when she's upset, scolding her for lying on a dangerous place and telling the 'old man' who talked to her not to fill Sunako's head with too many strange ideas, that he and the others would be worried if she went to the underworld.

MIHAEL "MELLO" KEEHL
Death Note
Mello, a character present in the anime and manga versions, was an orphan who grew up with Near and Matt in Wammy's House, Watari's shelter for "gifted" children. Like Near and Matt, Mello was one of the candidates to become L's successor. Similar to L's fondness for sweets, he is often seen eating bars of chocolate. Although Mello is quite intelligent, he often lets his emotions get the better of him. His goal in life is to surpass L and Near. Mello was also killed by minor character Takada Kiyomi. The light novel "Death Note Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases" is written out of his view. His real name is Mihael Keehl.

KAITO KUROBA "PHANTOM THIEF KID" "KAITO KID"
Detective Conan
Kaito Kuroba (黒羽 快斗 Kuroba Kaito ), the true identity under his alias Phantom Thief Kid (怪盗キッド Kaitō Kiddo ) is a fictional character created by Gosho Aoyama. His father Toichi Kuroba (黒羽 盗一 Kuroba Tōichi ) was the original Phantom Thief Kid and was killed when he refused to steal the Pandora Jewel for an unknown organization. Kaito Kuroba then takes on the role of Phantom Thief Kid after learning the truth about his father in order to search for the Pandora Jewel and prevent it from reaching the hands of the organization. Kaito Kuroba is the protagonist of the Magic Kaito manga series and has made significant appearances in Case Closed, often as an opponent to Jimmy Kudo who tries to solve Kaito's trickery and stop him from succeeding in his theft. He has an uncanny resemblance to Jimmy, so much so that Jimmy's childhood friend Rachael mistook Kaito for him, the only noticeable difference between their physical appearance being their haircuts. To compound this similarity, both Kaito and Jimmy are voiced by the same actor in both Japanese and English.

KENJI HARIMA
School Rumble
Harima began drawing manga as a means of escape after realizing Tenma was in love with Karasuma. In his manga, Harima inserts himself and Tenma into various storylines where the Harima-like character often defeats the Karasuma-like character and always wins the heart of the Tenma-like character. Later, he became serious about it after deciding to enter an amateur manga contest which he gets an honorable mention. Yakumo becomes his editor as she becomes the only person he trusts reading his manga. This results in misinterpretations by others, especially Tenma, who think they are dating because of Harima's desire to keep his work secret. Although, due to his infatuation with Tenma for most of the manga, he doesn't show feeling for Eri Sawachika. After Tenma leaves to follow Karasuma, he becomes closer to Eri.
Harima's appearance changes throughout the series. He begins wearing sunglasses with a mustache, goatee and with his hair is pulled back with a headband, leaving an ahoge. He originally adopted this look to avoid being recognized by Tenma. The year before, he saved Tenma from a thug. However, as Tenma passed out Harima brought her back to rest at his place and when she woke up, Tenma, while grateful for the help against the thug, accused him of being a pervert. While Tenma has forgotten the incident, and his appearance fools her initially, as the series goes on she comes closer to remembering the incident. To avoid this, Harima tries to distract her when she appears to be on the verge of remembering. As the series progresses, he undergoes several changes in appearance. He has a long beard for a time (which he grew in an attempt to impress Tenma), a shaved head shortly following him shaving his beard off, and because Eri was mad at him for that she shaved the top of his head, and for a time has a shaved face because Eri accidentally cut it, and upon hearing that Tenma didn't like beards he shaved it off completely. Eventually he returns to the look the series started with.

YUKI SOHMA
Fruits Basket
Yuki Sohma (草摩 由希 Sōma Yuki ), aged 17, is the rat of the Chinese zodiac and younger brother of Ayame. Yuki is depicted as an attractive, reserved, and accomplished young man with many admirers, but who finds being friendly difficult. When Yuki was young, his mother gave control of him to Akito Sohma, who kept him separated from the rest of the zodiac and convinced him no one liked him;[65] because of this, Yuki has low self-esteem and feels isolated.[66] He is known as "Prince Yuki" and "Prince Charming" at school, where he has a fan club headed by Motoko Minagawa that tries to "protect" him from other admirers, with the result that Yuki is further isolated,[67] and he is pressured by his popularity to become president of the student council despite his misgivings.[68] Yuki, however, wishes that he could be with people as friends, rather than be admired from afar, and envies both Kyo Sohma's and Kakeru Manabe's easy ways with others.[69][70] Yuki is touched when, faced with the prospect of having her memory of the Sohma family secret erased, Tohru Honda asks that he remain her friend,[71] which no one had asked him before.[72] With Tohru's help Yuki is gradually able to "open the lid" of his feelings, and the summer after she begins living in Shigure's house, Yuki admits to himself that he loves her.[73]
When Yuki was around six or seven years old, he ran away from Akito.[74] Yuki has always had fond feelings for Tohru for actually "needing" him.[74] However, he later admits to Manabe that he was looking for a mother-figure and found her in Tohru.[72] As the rat, Yuki despises the current cat, Kyo, despite envying him, and is contemptuous of his attempts to defeat him. Even when he realizes the true nature of his feelings for Tohru, Yuki is uncomfortable when he recognizes her and Kyo's growing feelings for each other.[75] Yuki becomes attracted to Machi Kuragi, a student council treasurer who also had a traumatic childhood,[76][77] and falls in love with her. When he knows that Kyo will be confessing his love to Tohru, Yuki meets with Machi and is with her when his curse lifts, whereupon the first thing he does is embrace her.[30] In the last chapter, he gives Machi a key to his new apartment, where he will be living as he attends university.[31] Voiced by: Aya Hisakawa (Japanese), Eric Vale (English)

SESSHOMARU
Inuyasha
Sesshomaru is InuYasha's older half-brother, an extremely powerful full-blooded demon, easily invulnerable when fighting, and is able to fly in the air like "Ah-Un." Unlike most demons seen in the series of the anime and manga, he shows no interest in possessing any of the Shikon Jewel shards, feeling confident of his own strength and seeming to find the use of the gem to enhance one's power distasteful. He is initially ruthless in dealing with InuYasha, whom he hates as a half-demon who consorts with humans, and attempts to steal the sword Tetsusaiga from him. He even had a sword forged from the fangs of Goshinki, an incarnation of Naraku, that sliced the Tetsusaiga into two, knowing that this will match the Tetsusaiga's power. This sword's name is Tokijin, which later gets destroyed by Moryomaru. However, Sesshomaru gradually becomes more sympathetic and caring after meeting the human child Rin, who never shows any fear of Sesshomaru's demon-self. Even going as far as using Tenseiga to revive her, Sesshomaru becomes a guardian to Rin, coming and opting to Rin's aid whenever she's in trouble, while Rin is considered as his ward. His growing compassion and the reaction of the Tenseiga to Sesshomaru's compassion for Kagura and her slow death prompts the master swordsmith Totosai to reforge Tenseiga, enabling the Meidou Zangetsuha ("dark path of the dawn's moon blast") attack. After Naraku attempts to manipulate him by using Rin as a hostage, Sesshomaru becomes determined to destroy Naraku as his main goal. He eventually gains his own blade that is a manifestation of his own power, Bakusaiga, which appeared after he let go of his attachments and preoccupation with Tetsusaiga - at the same time, he also regained his left arm. At the end of the Final Act, Sesshomaru continues to travel with Jaken by his side, while occasionally visiting Rin, whom he has left in Kaede's village, and bringing her gifts.
In the anime, he is voiced by Ken Narita. In the English dub, he is voiced by David Kaye in the original series and movies and by Michael Daingerfield in InuYasha: the Final Act.

KYOUYA OTTORI
Ouran High School Host Club
Kyoya Ootori (鳳 鏡夜 Ōtori Kyōya ) is an attractive, calculating second-year student at Ouran Academy and vice-president of the Host Club.[10] He was born on November 22 (Good Wife Day)[2] and is 17 years old at the beginning of the series.[3]
Kyoya is best friends with Tamaki, despite their completely different demeanors. Kyoya is secretive and intelligent, as his ability to calculate the financial and social benefits that result from the Host Club's adventures demonstrates. He is a very realistic and pragmatic person, as well as a competent and accurate accountant. Despite his occasionally antagonistic traits, the Host Club would not have been successful without Kyoya's uptight resourcefulness. Although he is rarely seen entertaining guests of the Host Club, he is considered the cool type.[10]
Kyoya lives with his father, an influent zaibatsu owner who specializes in hospital management. He has two brothers that he has to surpass to become his father's successor and a married sister who cares deeply for him. Despite his cold and uncaring exterior, Kyoya occasionally demonstrates his concern for others. For example, when the Club goes to the beach and Haruhi is harassed by men, he pretends to intimidate Haruhi to show her why the other members of the Host Club were worried about her. Another example is when he points out the false nature of an antique to an old woman who was about to buy it. Haruhi is able to see through his mask, however, and understands him well. In volume 16, his actions helped Tamaki strengthen his relationship with his grandmother.
Kyoya is incredibly irritable and slow to wake up in the morning, which is attributed to low blood pressure. He carries a clipboard with him and it is a long-running joke that it is unknown what he writes in it. In almost everything he does, he gets something out of it. Kyoya seems to have a particular interest in smooth jazz music.
According to the author, if Hatori Bisco had allotted forty pages for the first chapter of the manga instead of fifty, she would have cut Kyoya from the cast, but is glad this did not happen as "since the rest of the members are the way they are, he is invaluable for maintaining order and offering explanations."[11] Bisco named him after the fact he wears glasses by taking the last syllable of gankyō, meaning a pair of glasses.[12]
Viz Media romanized his name as Kyoya Ootori,[13] Chuang Yi as Kyouya Ootori, FUNimation as Kyoya Otori,[14] and Nippon Television's Japanese-language website as Kyoya Ootori.[9]
Voiced by: Masaya Matsukaze (anime),[4] Junichi Suwabe (drama CDs), J. Michael Tatum (English)[5]
